Squad Based Shooters

Just wondering what the best squad based shooters are on the PC?
Looking for one where you can order guys around to grenade and covering fire etc a la Rainbow Six

Preferably a newish game.

Arma 2, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Counterstrike Source (to a degree), Operation Flashpoint 2(?) Killing Floor and Left 4 Dead are all examples of small squad based fps games.

raven shield is still the best realistic shooter i think and also swat 4 is good, squad commands in both of those.

new wave would be arma2 ofp2.

i prefer having humans as squad mates though.

What is GRAW 2 like? i had the first one and liked it, it was too hard tho lol. Is it worth buying?

Could also take a look at the Conflict: Series. There's 4 of them in total, recently saw a boxed version with all 4 games for about £20 on the high street somewhere.

More of a wider-open space kinda thing though, rather than close-in detail squad shooter.

Arma 2

Even in multi player you can go and recruit some AI players to boss around. Its good to drag some around or use thwem to fly things you dont know how to

Some of the ones I've played in here together with forum recommendations: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17867777 . MoHA is definitely worth looking at, a very UNDERrated game.

I'd highly recommend BiA: Hell's Highway too, much better than the earlier BiA titles.

Do you mean mohpa is over rater or under rated?

Also try full spectrum warrior, its pure squad control.

BF2 can be very squad based if you play it like that .. which you should

Me and a few mates have had some really excellent games of SWAT 4, it's an old game but it's just so easy to get into, and when you're all in the same room on a LAN you get sucked into it... BANG IT!

rainbow six 3 raven shield is still the best squad shooter, its not new (2003) but it still looks nice, gold edition is 4.99 on steam

I forgot about Full Spectrum Warrior. That game is awesome, but brutally difficult.
