Next door decided to get some sort of feathered nightmare around 3 months ago, at first I hear a squawk a few times a day and thought it was a bird on the roof of the house, then one day I realised it was actually coming from next door as I walked past their front window.

Ever since then it seems to be getting worse. The noise is just dam irritating more than anything and goes on and off late morning and then starts up from tea time until around 8pm. Its not constant, just on and off. We can drown it out with the TV but its not really a solution. As of yet I havent been round to have a word as it was only a few months ago I had to go round about late night parties in October last year which stopped straight away.

The problem here is can anything actually even be done to stop its squeaking? It seems silent when they are not in, is it even worth going round? They do rent so I am sure they wont be allowed pets anyway but I havent a clue who their landlord is. Dog barking is one thing but with a budgie is it possible to stop it?

Never goes off at night its just tea time really and more at weekends.

Break in and put a plastic bag over the budgies head.

Failing that, ask if they can put a towel or something over the budgies cage when it starts acting up. That'll stop it.

Feel sorry for you mate and hope it get sorted asap.

Doing the house work over the weekend and had to put the dog outside while I cleaned kitchen and living room, and he just barked his head off for about an hour and half, wasn't anything there he was just wanted to make noise, the little ****:o

lol. this reminds me of the dumb and dumber scene with the blind kid and the parrakeet. :D

in any case, wait for it to get a bit worse then phone the council. or subject it to H5N1 :p

Pretty bird, yeah. Can you say pretty bird? Pretty bird, yeah. Pretty bird...

...Polly want a cracker?

Not much I think you could do, best thing would be to speak to the owners.

Maybe a case in private nuisance if it got worse?
