Just run into the first little problem on my car since I got it.
Basically when stationary or at low speeds, moving the steering wheel produces a squeaking sound which is more audible from outside the car. A similar noise also appears when going over speed bumps or uneven roads. Actually quite embarrasing when parking or like, turning corners...
I think the sound is coming from both the front wheels as I got someone to turn the wheel while I listened around. Doesn't seem to be coming from anywhere inside the engine bay...at least as far as I can tell.
I've not had chance to jack the car up and take a look yet, but some folks over at PreludeUK have had similar problems and referred to dry ball joints or cv joints.
Has anyone come across a similar thing before, what is it likely to be and how difficult is it to fix?
Cheers
