hi guys

my car seems to have developed a squeak

when the clutch is fully up i get a quiet squeak from the engine, ive had a prod around and i think its from the clutch area

it disappears as soon as the clutch is pressed a tiny bit (not even to the biting point just as you start to feel the resistance on the pedal)

does anyone know what it could be? the car drives fine its just a bit irritating

car is a 2000 pug 206 1.6 if that makes any difference

:)

I had the same problem, mine was the thrust bearing in the clutch. Have you been thru any big puddles? Sometimes water can get traped in the housing, rubbing the grease away.

Not saying thats the problem.. Just sounds similar to my problem.

i do have a habit of driving through huge puddles at low speed to see how high i can get the water to go :o
