Squeaking!

Hello all,

I have just picked up a new pc, (Second hand) today and when i got it home its squeaking like mad and it's driving me crazy.

Some specs;

2.80GHz dual core Pentium D
1gig DDR2 Nanya RAM (2x 512's)
Motherboard: P5B-TMX-GB-Si
PSU; Unsure.
Says; Mesh computers on the front.

Any idea on what it is.

open the side of the case switch the pc on and have a realllllly good listen

can you tell where it is coming from ?

did the previous owner mention anything?

could be a case/cpu/psu fan

It isn't;

Harddrive or Optical drive as these are the two things that didnt come with it (i already had them and they're fine)

As soon as the PC is turned on at the plug it starts whining, i can't really explain the noise it just whines [even when the actual computer isnt powered up, just plugged in at the wall]

Things to make squeaks are most likely GPU/PSU.

Does the squeak change pitch when you do GPU intensive tasks?

Onboard graphics ATM

Ive only had it 2hours so i havnt done much i heard that squeak and just turned it off after a few mins incase it blew up

I had a PC that squelled it was down to drivers did a fresh reinstall, latest Drivers and Bio's no prob's after that.
