Squeaky PSU!

Okay.. perhaps squeaky is not quite the right word, but its not far off. I bought a Corsair HX620 PSU about a month ago (perhaps slightly longer) for a new build. Some of the specs are in the sig, but im also running some extra fans, 2 HDDs and 2 DVD drives. The problem is that the PSU makes a strange, almost piezo-electric squeaking noise accompanied by an intermittent low frequency buzz. It doesnt make the noise all the time (in fact, initially i thought it was a fan squeaking), and as far as i can tell it does not correspond to the loading of the CPU or GPU. Its quite strange and also quite annoying, being just audible. I am also pretty sure it is not the fan in the PSU itself - the squeaking it sort of intermittant, not continuous as you would expect with a fan.

I understand that people have problems with noise from GPUs etc, but i am wondering whether this could be a fault with the power supply, and if it is, i would quite like to get it replaced before it does some damage! I have put up with it for a while, but the thought of it is weighing on my mind somewhat, and its quite important this PC does not fail.

Thanks for reading, any advice would be apprecaited.

Possibly coil whine if its coming from PSU.
Happens when wiring is little loose in coil and certain current makes wire vibrate.
(maybe that's the reason why CWT wraps all coils inside heat shrink)
What some people in SPCR forum looked into these noises apparently even some kind interference between PSU and some component like HDD might cause it.

That kind noise (apparently narrow band) can be hard to locate so best would be use some pipe for listening exact location from where it's coming. (keep other end of pipe near ear and move other end from component to component)
Also 8800GT seems to be known from extra noise effects.

Cheers Esat - im pretty sire its not the 8800. It was running in another system until i moved it into this PC on some no name PSU, and ran without noise or any issues. It is definately coming from the PSU region of the case. I will take your advice and try and use a tube. If it is the PSU, would you suggest a replacement? Is it more likely to fail?
