Okay.. perhaps squeaky is not quite the right word, but its not far off. I bought a Corsair HX620 PSU about a month ago (perhaps slightly longer) for a new build. Some of the specs are in the sig, but im also running some extra fans, 2 HDDs and 2 DVD drives. The problem is that the PSU makes a strange, almost piezo-electric squeaking noise accompanied by an intermittent low frequency buzz. It doesnt make the noise all the time (in fact, initially i thought it was a fan squeaking), and as far as i can tell it does not correspond to the loading of the CPU or GPU. Its quite strange and also quite annoying, being just audible. I am also pretty sure it is not the fan in the PSU itself - the squeaking it sort of intermittant, not continuous as you would expect with a fan.
I understand that people have problems with noise from GPUs etc, but i am wondering whether this could be a fault with the power supply, and if it is, i would quite like to get it replaced before it does some damage! I have put up with it for a while, but the thought of it is weighing on my mind somewhat, and its quite important this PC does not fail.
Thanks for reading, any advice would be apprecaited.
