Hi, I've had my pc for just over a week, not done anything crazy with it but over the last couple of days i have started to notice an intermittent squeak which im pretty sure is coming from the PSU,

it sounds a bit like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4d23F2jehQ but is not a constant whine like that. thing is last time i noticed it was when i woke my pc from sleep, also i noticed the leds on the fans dimming and brightening.

basically what i'd like to no is whether there is anything else that could be causing the squeak and if not should i return the PSU. It is a Silverstone SST-ST60F-ES Strider Essential.

Any help much appreciated

i think the squeak is something to do with the dodgy coil inside the psu.
With the lights dimming there's obviously a lack of power getting around your computer.

Have you checked there is enough power for your computer from the PSU watt wise and you could always RMA it if its new could have just been a bad one.

Sorry im no more help
