Car is an 09 Toyota agh go manual with air-con and power steering
Just lately one of pulleys on the aux/fab belt had started squeaking upon startup :(
Mileage is 58k so probably belt needs changing but it doesn't "sound" like a slipping belt if that makes sense...
Worth giving said pulley (.air- con I believe) WD40 or just take to garage to get said belt replaced. Far from handy with spanners!

I wouldn't go at it with WD40 in case any gets on the belt, unless you take the belt off first and can get to the back of the pulley, but if you're going that route you may as well replace the belt/pulley yourself.

If you want to spray it with anything then get a can of silicone lubricant spray and don't use WD40. It quietened down the squeaking on my old car's pulley for a while but chances are it won't do the trick for long so I'd just get the pulley replaced.

The trick with wd40 is to spray the belt if it stops squealing the belt needs replacing or the tension adjusting.

No you should use french chalk on a squeaky belt, oil degreades the rubber and water just evaporates.
