Seem to have some weird squeaky/rubbery noises when I turn my steering wheel. Most prominent when parked and turning wheel about 20 degrees either way from centre. I don't have any issues steering when driving either.

Anyone have an idea what that might be? Possibly air in PAS, steering column or something else?

If the auxiliary belt that drives the PAS pump needs tensioning (or replacing) then it can slip when you load up the steering, and this will make a screeching noise.

Does it have PAS fluid in the reservoir?

Get some odd noises when these run dry. If it is dry, get the leak fixed before simply filling it back up.

I sure I checked this 2 weeks ago but admittedly due to the car's age it's quite hard to see the MIN MAX levels. Will check again. Going in for a full service on Friday anyway so will mention it then
