Brum, Brum, Brum, Brum....
any ideas why they squeal :(

have a toledo 110BHP TDI 53 PLate.

had the pads changed about 500 miles ago, and they have just started squealing...

its :o embarrassing!!!!

Put a little coppersleaze on the back of the antisqueal shims/brake pads (no, not the friction material side.....)

Avoid getting any on the disc or pad surface, otherwise it's white spirit cleaning time!

Do squeaky brakes do anything apart from squeak?
Does it cause any problems because mums car doesnt even need a horn they are that loud :o

Yes, they get on your **** and make you cringe every time you have to brake...

But seriously, no, it's doesn't cause any damage other than to your sanity unless the squealing is because of another problem, e.g. sticking caliper.

Nope just make everyone look at you and think you got rusty disc's. :p I need to get on and do mine when i can source the correct size socket.

As well as stopping them squeak, copper grease will make the next pad/disc change a lot easier too!
