My gravel bike (2017 Pinnacle Arkose) has Shimano 105 disc brakes.

When i bought it the brakes needed bleeding as they'd stopped working. I did that and they worked fine, however since i got it, the brakes have always made a horrific noise just before coming to a final stop. There's no noise when just braking to control speed on hills, or for slowing coming up to a junction etc , just the final stop. It got to the point i've not ridden the bike for ages and resigned it to Zwift duties because the noise caused people to stop and stare. God help sleeping people when i went out for an early ride in the summer!

I've changed the rotors, pads and even changed wheels (unrelated reason). Nothing has cured the squeaking. I've soaked the rotors in disc cleaner and sanded the pads to remove any grease.

I've had the bike serviced twice and both mechanics could find no obvious reason for the noise. They have confirmed there's no leakage from the callipers and everything is clean.

The problem is i'm not at the point of not being sure where to go. I'm potentially looking to take the bike with me to Spain, but would be reluctant in it's current noisy state.

The other option is that i might look to sell both this and my carbon road bike and get something which does both jobs. The road bike is excellent, but i'd prefer disc brakes due to being fat and having a little less trust in the current rim brakes.

Update - Have advertised the bike and have someone interested.

Decided over the weekend to have 1 decent bike rather than one purely for Zwift and one for outdoor use, especially as in Spain i'm unlikely to need Zwift as much since i can just ride outside all year round.
