I am looking to get a new mouse specifically for CS:GO
I am an older player but made it out of sliver finally and I feel I can justify a new mouse now ;)
I will be playing relatively low sens so max high dpi is not a necessity, but I am impressed that G502 can natively track accurately at 12000dpi.
Unfortunately it's too heavy and has too many buttons, and is more expensive, so atm I am convinced that the Rival will fill in my needs.
Any strong opinions otherwise?

12000dpi is not needed for csgo most of us use 1600 or less,

The rival is very similar in my opinion to the old intellimouse it's superb at low sense for fps games like csgo but it is a specific shape much like the 502 is a specific shape they are very different.

Rival 300 Zowie EC 1 intelli mouse 300 are all very similar mice in shape if you like that shape you will have no problem in my opinion.

I haven't used the 502 but have been using the Rival 300 for about a week now and am very impressed with it. As TwsT mentioned, it definitely has a specific shape to it but is rather comfortable for longer gaming sessions.

The Rival 300 has great precision and accurate tracking and while irrelevant to the performance, being able to change the LED colours to match the res of you build is always nice lol.

I haven't tried the Rival 300 but I have a G502, which I moved to from a Razer Deathadder 2013. I like it, its a good mouse. But I've had a soft spot for Logitech mice ever since the MX518.

Haven't used the new rival but moved from the old one to a g502 and I prefer the Logitech, still question the build quality from SS, the rubber on my rival started to wear away rather quickly.

I wen't for the Rival 300 in the end and very happy with it.
My K/D ratio is still abyssal but I like the texture on the plain, matte black edition of the rival and it goes really well with my Steel Series mouse mat :)
I already have two logitech gaming mice so it's nice to have a comparison.

rival for csgo all day long. ignore the logitech stuff if you want a no nonsense mouse with a solid sensor
