Hi guys,

I bought a Sensei about 3 months ago. I still can't get used to it.
I've concluded that I simply don't like it.

So i'm going to sell it.
I'm not using these forums as a market place, I'm only looking for advice.

I'm at my wits end in regard to the perfect mouse for me.

My preference for years was an MS intellimouse 1.1 optical. I adored it, but it eventually broke. I also had a mx500 for back up which I didn't really like.

I then bought a R.A.T. 3 and although I quite liked it I'm not so keen on the software as I find it to conflict with some progs/games. Also the DPI options weren't just on the ball enough for me.
So I begged my wife to allow me 60 quid from our tight household budget for a Sensei, thinking the myriad of customisable options would do for me. Nope, don't like it. I just feel it has a strange acceleration, which I'm incredibly sensitive to. Even with Accel turned off. My kids love it becasue it says their names on the profile LCD on the bottom, LOL.

So, advice.
What is the mouse I need ?
wish my intellimouse never ever broke.

I recently went from IMO to Zowie EC1 eVo and haven't looked back (my IMO also broke :( ).
That said I did really like the Xai (same shape as the Sensei but a matte finish rather than that horrible metallic nonsense.

Its pretty hard to find replacements for the IMO and WMO 1.1a - quite a few people have moved happily enough from the IMO to the Zowie EC and AM models.

Ok thanks guys, I shall look in to those then.

They don't have all that acceleration malarkey and stuff do they ?

Also what would be a reasonable price to sell the sensei ?

EC2 Evo is a bit smaller than the EC1 Evo, while the EC1 is more like an IE 3.0, the EC2 is more towards your liking.

Both use the Avago 3090, are prediction and acceleration free. They are also driver-free, and not very customisable. The DPI, and poll rate can be changed, they have five usable buttons, but that's about it. They are also low DPI mice (really don't get that high-dpi race anyway), and being optical can be a bit finicky about the mouse pad surface. But once you get there, it's super smooooth. Really nice optical sensor.

Secondly, they use Huano switches, which feel heavier than the regular Omron switches. The scroll wheels are also heaviers, and notchy (more pronounced steps compared to smooth scrolls).

Can't say bad things about the zowies, I have two and I like them a lot. Probably the best replacement for the old Microsoft's atm.
