SSD for Macbook Pro..?

Hi all,

My friend has just bought a 15" Macbook Pro and wants to upgrade the hard drive to an SSD one.

Which SSDs are recommended for the Macbook's please?

Crucial M4? or the OCZ Vertex 3..?

Any others?

I've got the M4 with the latest firmware upgrade it flies without issue son my early 2011 MBP.

The biggest and best you can get? M4 looks to be the best option this gen of them though

Mine has a c300 256 from the last gen last year and it goes like a real trooper (despite being slowed by the bus on my mbp 09). Im guessing he got a brand new one though so any will be very tidy and fast!

The M4! Decently priced and very fast with the recent 009 firmware, not that it wasn't beforehand!

Even though my Macbook pro is SATA2 it still performs admirably with this SSD.

From what I can see the M4 seems to be the most popular choice, you also get an extra 8gb of space compared to the OCZ's.

I have a Vertex 3 in mine - it runs at SATA3 speeds ok, and I even have TRIM working.
