SSD issue?

I have an Alienware M11X laptop and a Vertex 2 SSD,
a few weeks ago my vertex 2 failed and i now have a new one (thanks to OC'ers RMA!) and i noticed that my M11X gets very hot inside, could heat possibly make my SSD fail again? or was it a random failure?

depend how hot your laptop is but more likely just random failure.
