SSD no in windows install.

Computer was crashing today and it refused to work properly leading me to try a windows reinstall. However, in bios I can see my vertex ssd but on the windows install its not there :confused:

Any advice?

Try doing windows repair and see if that fixes it.

Have you installed any hardware or software or OCed the Cpu prior to the crashes.

Nope just used it in the morning and it kept crashing. It's listed in bios but not in windows install or diskpart????

If you can get into windows, have a look in the event logs for the time of the crashes and see what is says. This might give you an indication.
You could also try installing Whocrashed, if you can stay in windows long enough.

Does work in windows no more. Drive can be seen in bios but no where else

Try taking the ssd out of the pc for 30 mins, then try reinstalling. (advice from OCZ)

I had a vertex 2E that did the same and that is the advice i was given.

Unfortunately this didn't work for me, so had to RMA the drive.
