SSD Not at rated speed

My SSD isnt running at the speed it should be and after a bit of reading i believe it may be down to not having the most up to date drivers.

Im running C300 on Asus M4a78LT-M

Any ideas?

Seems that motherboard has only sata 2 ports and not the sata 3 ports needed for full performance.

Isn't that a misprint?, all other websites show it as sata 3gbs only.

I doubt it would be sata 3 at that price.

Doesn't sound far off. Is AHCI enabled in the BIOS? Have you downloaded the rapid storage technology drivers from Intel?

AHCI is enabled.

That's what anandtech gets for sequential read, sounds like normal speeds to me.

i'm not recommending you benchmark with this program.

if you install hd tune or hd tune pro and click on info to see if ncq is supported. might be okay to do an error scan just to be sure. not the quick scan.

if you go into win7 control panel--device manager--disk drives--check see what driver you have. ms or amd.
