I did post over in the storage drives section but it lacked a response and I'm starting to wonder if it is an SSD problem but not sure what it could be. Seems like windows.

I've got a 120gb Sandisk SSD and a 500gb 840 pro, Both drives were working fine until a fresh windows install. I've installed windows onto my sandisk ssd which was fine. But now I can't access the 840 pro. It shows in magician, bios, & device manager. but it doesnt show in my computer, disk management, list disk or when i try to install windows its not present there either. I have tried changing all of my sata ports. I've changed the options in windows explore to show hidden drives and all of it is still nothing.

I'm running out of ideas here anyone know any possible solutions?

Did it have an active partition?

All I can think is that it is blocked in windows for some reason. You could try running an instance of Linux (live disk) and deleting, reformatting the drive if it shows there which it should.

Im 99% positive when i reinstalled the OS again i deleted the partition on the 840 but i didn't reformat it.

Uh this means I have to download Linux and work out how to use that haha. I'll give it a shot when I'm at home. Currently using teamviewer at work to try every possibility i can inside windows but I'm starting to exhaust all my options from the looks of things.

Unplug power for a while, does it show in BIOS at all?

Have you tried another power cable - this happened on one of mine and the cable had a loose connection...

Only cable switching ive done is the sata port. It shows in everything but disk management and this pc. I can see it in bios, intel rapid store, magician, device manager

You could just create the bootable media using samsung magician and secure erase this will let you know if its frozen. Although im unsure if they have fixed the ui visual bug using Nvidia cards.

You havent got fastboot enabled in bios have ya? If i reinstall with fastboot enabled it just completely ignores one of my SSDs. Its fine once windows is installed though normally.

Finally fixed it. Had another USB that had none anniversary edition windows 10 that showed a reserved 128mb partition on the drive, deleted that and it showed in windows was just a matter of cleaning it up and reformatting it.
