SSD or HDD?

im running out of space on my (mechanical) HDD so need to increase my capacity.

I use autocad, vecotor works, sketchup and photoshop A LOT these days so looked into SSD to see if it will increase performance, especially in photoshop which uses a lot of scratch disk space.

Would a SSD really be worth buying over a larger capacity HDD (scorpio black for instance)

the SSD will also have the OS installed on it there fore becoming the Boot drive. its said not to use the boot drive for scratch disk but its not clear as to why this is.

any opinions on this, cheers

Also - where to get a cradle + adapter if i were to get an SSD for my dell 1749 for cheap (30£ seems a lot for what your getting)

I just used velcro tape and stuck it to a spare bit of metal in my case :)
