ssd or sata 3

the rig is used for gaming and flight sims and blu-ray films
gigabyte x58 usb3
i7 950
gtx 570
6gb of kingston ddr3 1600
lg blu-ray writer
sony dvd writer
xigmatek case with 4 fans
titan fenrir cooler
ocz 600 power supply

the thing is do i upgrade the motherboard to the udr3 for the sata 3 and get 2 w/d 650 gb 6gb/sata 3 speed hard drives and raid 0 or buy a ssd drive?

I would Keep your current board and buy a SSD

Even though you will be running the 2 WD in RAID 0 I doubt you would notice a performance difference between them on your board or SATA 6gb/s board as mechanical hard discs can't saturate sata 2 let alone 3.

It would, you can get the new Crucial SSD drives which come out shortly and get a new X58 board.
