Hi guys,

I would like your opinion, im looking to spend around £100 on a better hard drive for my OS to sit in, i was looking at the 64gb SSD on this week only, but would it be better to got for a 150gb Velociraptor?

Thanks Guys

Its A No brainer

Hi M8

Ive just upgraded my Velocity Raptor 150GB to a Crucial M225 128GB and its the most impressive upgrade I have done in a long time.

The SSD pee's on the Velocity Raptor period.

Lots of reviews out there for SSD's with Velocity Raptor inc in the benchmarks amd it leaves it for dust.

Not a lot more I can say really except you wont regret getting the SSD.

Regards

Absolutely go for the SSD, you'll also get less heat and zero noise (It's so weird to have a completely silent laptop!). The 128GB Crucial M225 still is the best value-for-money choice atm.

Do both like me.

SSD's for main drive and a velociraptor for games.

Benefit of the velociraptors is the write speed which can be slower on SSD's and the size advantage.

Read speed in Raid with 2 * SSD's is awesome.
