This must have been answered many times, but my search fu is failing.

I want to use an SSD for my OS and primary apps, but want all other apps (that normally reside under Programs) to be on a secondary SATA drive. Can this be automatically setup? i.e. when installing apps, it would choose the secondary automatically, thus allowing you to explicitly state the primary SSD when required?

Windows 7.

Changing the C to a D should be simple enough as you're going through the install process of each programme.
I've never heard of an app or prog to automatically do this and even if there was one it would need configuring to know which individual stuff you wanted to install on what drive and thus defeating the purpose of itself.:)

Thanks for that... I think I was over-analysing; changing c to d would be easier to manage on every install.

Now to read up on SSD drives! Let me know if you have any recommendations :)

Cheers.

I have a Corsair Force GT, 2 years old and still goin strong, kept its value too. Highly recommended.
The Samsung EVO's seems to be flavour of the month too and definitely worth a look.
