SSD usable space....512GB and 480Gb the same?

Hi all,

Would a 512GB and 480GB SSD have the same amount of usable space, as in one advertised before format and one after format?

No - it's slightly different. There will be about 30GB difference once formatted.

Also, GB != Gb.

Although, don't suppose OP really has a 480 Gigabit SSD, as that would only be 60 GB.
