sse boost

sse boost right...is there anyway to enable this whilst running the folding client from a folder not installed as a service? or would I have to reinstall it as a service and set the flag on for it to start up with so it can be enabled?

why oh why? a p2126 is estimated at 6 days remaining @ 24% complete! and this unit is only worth 373 points on core 2 of my x2 3800+ @ 2700.

The SSE boost has nothing to do with whether or not it's installed as a service. It should automatically come on unless 1) you've told it not to via the option in the config, or 2) it terminated improperly last time and it's in a failsafe mode.

p2126 is a Gromacs WU ad as such it should be using SSE. Stop the client clicking in its window and pressing Ctrl C. Then reopen it but this time use the -forceasm flag. If you don't know how to insert a flag check out the first part of the sticky. In there I demonstrate how to insert the -configonly flag. Inserting -forceasm is done the exact same way.

I'm getting 130ppd on each core of my X2 4400 with these woos, three days each. still rubbish, I was getting a similar ppdage from my old xp2500
