ST220 advice....

I'm sure it was :p

Had a very quick look around it earlier - something just caught my eye on one of the pictures that I didn't notice when I saw it in the flesh... what's the little control panel type facing the rear seats

A little bit more digging today reveals that this particular 220 has recently had a new clutch and DMF.

should this being done before 40k be ringing any alarm bells? or is it a case of it just being one of those things, its fixed now so all's well and good?

if everything stacks up, I should hopefully be putting a deposit down on this on Thursday :-)

Think the clutch on these is a bit hit and miss. I know people who had them replaced at 40 and 50k, but dont drive it that hard. Mine lasted to 90k before being replaced.

been speaking to the local dealer who have done the bulk of the work on this car.

they claim that the clutch replacement was 'precautionary' given the DMF issues.

other than that it's been well looked after. regular oil and filter changes, good tyres, the alloys look superb recently refurbed and all the stamps are present and correct.

just in case anyone is still interested I placed a deposit on the car this morning.

I'll be putting some pics and a mini review up when I collect it next week :-)

Nice buy, they seem quite good for the money. I'm considering one myself later in the year so I'm looking forward to your review.

Excellent all round car. Drove one a few weeks ago out of sheer curiosity as it's similar to the gta in many regards, format, size, layout, engine etc.
