Ive just upgraded to 4GB, 4 sticks of ram and now I get random blue sceens of death, origianlly it seemed to be working fine when I had Vista 32bit installed now I have upgraded to 64bit to take advantage of the extra ram, but I am having problems getting it stable, some times I can boot into windows fine with the current overclock and others it freezes and blue screens.

I have tried reverting to stock settings with no overclock but I am still having some issues where it will randomly blue screen.

Has anyone any idea on what may be causing this could it be the Vista 64bit rarther than the ram as it was working when I had 32bit installed?

What settings should I use in the bios aswel for the memory voltage and timings and will I need to lower the clock frequency to get them stable now using 4 sticks?

spec is sig new ram is same as current aswell

Cheers

Have you given the northbridge voltage a bump for 4 sticks?

Also have you tried running the 4 sticks at 800mhz? The 650i boards were meant to have issues running 4 sticks at 800mhz, but apparently they can run fine if set to 830mhz+ now. I was wondering if you had come across this issue.

I had same problem with blue screen or no boot with 4 sticks, so i just overclocked ram to 830mhz + and all is fine. Have read theres a memory hole between 726-826mhz using 4 sticks with these boards.I cant get pc to boot at 800mhz using 4 sticks, no matter how much volts i give it.

Thank-you :)

i don't think my ram will do 830+ though ill give it a try when I get home, what voltage should i be using for th nb and ram then to try and get 830+ the 1.59v option for nb and 2.17v for ram? also what timings for the ram?

Cheers

i set my ram to 2.085 volts and 4-4-4-12 T2, as it says on stickers. With mine i just set ram to 830mhz and booted up first time no problem. All other volts are set to auto , as iam running at 2.9 atm due to high temps at 3.4(untill i get better coolin)
