Hey guys,

I recently changed my overclock slightly and I wanted to see if is still stable.

I found out that Folding @ H released an SMP client to run native on dual core.

I fired that up and left it crunching for around 14 hours, so far... the CPU load is 100% and so far no errors on the console, it is still going. Can I take this as stable, or the folding client does not cut it?

Folding is a very good stress test, especially SMP. The problem is that unlike Prime95, etc, it has no way of checking whether its calculations are correct. So if your CPU is only slightly unstable it may make the odd inaccurate calculation and you wouldn't know. That's damaging to the project as you'd be submitting inaccurate results.

I'd test with Orthos first. When you're sure your system is stable, though, you could always join our Folding team :D
