Running an E2160 on a P5K and am having a battle getting my system orthos stable at 3ghz. What I'm experiencing when running the cpu tests is a loss of vcore, speedfan and cpu-z are showing 1.33 at idle (although it is set to 1.36 in bios), however when running the tests the vcore being reported is sometimes as low as 1.28-9, its becoming obvious to me that orthos is failing because of the lack of vcore under stressful situations. I've read various posts regarding the asus boards and the fact that they dont handle vdroop very well, what I'm wondering is can the quality of the psu also affect this voltage loss or is it just down to the asus board? My Temps are fine, idling at 37-38 since installing some nice quiet airflow to my case, gets up to 60-62 after about 30 minutes of orthos , but only about 51-53 when running COJ.

Any comments would be most welcome.

I prefer the easier option, just give it a little more vcore to start with. I've had my E4300 to 1.6v with good air cooling and it lives on. You're on quite a big overclock so give it a bit extra, should be no issues @ 1.4v even with stock cooling though keep an eye on your temps.

Much better than modding the board.
