Right now I've got my chip clocked to 3.0GHz which was pretty much what I was aiming for, I think my mobo is holding me back so I think i'm gonna ave to stick where I am.

Now on Vista, the exact same clock was 14hr stable in Orthos, now i'm on XP it reboots after around 5 hours.

If I keep it at this speed, how likely is it that it'll reboot or crash when I'm using general windows apps and games?

Would I be better off lower he clock a little or is it unlikely that it will actually cause problems in 'real-life'?

Thanks.

prime/orthos testing is stressing the processor using 1 type of calculation and are certainly other apps (folding at home) being one that will fail very quickly on a prime/orthos stable setup as they stress different parts of the CPU... that being said prime/orthos stability is a good sign the machine should be stable, basically I would leave it if u have issues, BSOD, reboots etc... then drop the clock otherwise shoud be fine
