Hiyahh! :D

Yes i know this gets asked again and again and again and again... But bare with me! I know im being a pain... but i also know things change! lol

So what is good for judging stability now?

I used to fire a quick run of 1m SuperPi, to judge initial stability? But now i can do 30/60 mins Orthos even though SuperPi fails!

OCCT, it reads the core temps wrong, so i have no faith in it! :(

(Side note, what is best for C2D temps on a P5K?)

Actually, just noticed that Orthos is showing my CPU Speed to be 3300, when it is set at 3000!

So what is good... and a quick judge? So i can go into BIOS, change stuff, fire into Windows see how it is (5-10) mins, BIOS to increase things, Windows, etc! Then when i feel i hit a wall, id test it for a few hours!

Thanks...

Craig! :)

5-10 mins isn't going to tell you very much tbh.

If that's all you're prepared to wait for then a 32mb Super-Pi run would suffice. Tho a 30 min OCCT run would be much better.

Forget about its temp readings.

OCCT is the best for a quick 30 min test. If you can pass 30 mins then you're getting close to where you want to be for that particular speed. I never attempt run Prime95 or Orthos til I've passed a full 2 hour OCCT run.
