Stable in Prime95 game crashes?!

I've overclocked my i7 to 3.6ghz temps seem ok (73c the highest peak core temp) under Prime95. But this evening went to play some Left 4 dead and I get VPU errors/CTD the works, I set the PCI express bus to 100mhz instead of auto but anything else that could cause it?. I set everything back to defaults and it ran fine.

Running Prime95 successfully for 8hrs or whatever only says that you computer can calculate Prime factors for 8hrs - not that it can run games.

When you overclock next time around, check for stability using Prime95 as well as some serious gaming. Any excuse for a session.
