Which should I get? This is for a Windows 10 box that will have 6 or 7 drives in it that will present as a single pool with folder shares on it. Some will be duplicated and others won't.

I've checked and Drive Bender has Windows 10 support and Drive Pool will have soon, probably before Windows 10 launches at the end of July.

Both are $30 for a single Home use license.

Thanks

I've been using DrivePool on my WHS2011 box for a couple of years now, and the best thing I can say about it is that it Just Works.

Install it, set up the pool, and never touch it again, until you want to add/remove a drive, and then it's just a couple of clicks.

I've got 4 drives in my pool currently.

The folder duplication allows you to specify how many copies you want of each folder. And, you can drill down as far as you like into the folder structure, the duplication doesn't need to be at the very top level.

As above can recommend DrivePool but only use it on two drives currently, also went and purchased Scanner with it too as they were packaged together in a deal.

Another vote for DrivePool here. Just rebuilt my server last week, reinstall the software and it picks your pool up again and away it goes. Effortless and never had any issue with it in the 2 or 3 years I've used it.

Got myself a copy of stablebit scanner too a week ago and I can recommend that for keeping an eye on your disks, hooks into drivepool which is nice.

It found 4 bad sectors which I didn't know about :|

Just to say I took the advice in here and grabbed StableBit DrivePool and its brilliant.

Its actually a little bit too simple. Everything just worked. I installed it, opened it, clicked Add against one of my drives and... That's it. Pool created. :)

I've added the 3 drives I'm going to use and now have an X:\ drive that's shows as being 12TB in size :D. Its great having a proper drive letter rather than just the shares I had on WHS.

Depends how you use it. Nothing gets deleted from my server storage, everything that's "dynamic" like documents and personal files are in OneDrive.
