I've got a coolermaster stacker.

I need a new psu so i was considering the Seasonic S12 500W but the psu compartment in my case might stop the seasonic from going in due to its large 120mm fan, and even if it does, a bar might restrict airflow.

Does anyone know if it will fit?
And what effect the bar will cause?

Any pics would be appreciated.

i dont know for that psu but my Tagen 530W which has an big 120mm fan grill is an bugger extremely tight fit and the screws dont line up at all.

As far as I know, all ATX psus are a standard size: 8.6cm x 15cm x 14cm (h x w x d)

not strictly true, they tend to vary quite a lot.

Plus with modular you have the extra length of the modular connections

i got a seasonic 500 in stacker fan fits perfectly in the compartment maybe half a centimetre blocked, but no worries, i been running it nonstop for 3 months, it doesnt get loud or hot, so it does its job perfeclty.

oh and if you want some advice from a fellow stacker owner ditch the top 80 all it does is make noise

Hey Chris...I have the same problem. Just got a 580w Tagan. Its a real bugger to squeeze in and as you say, the screws don't even remotely line up, with gaps around the sides where the backplate comes off. Do you just have it sitting in the tray, free standing? It doesn't look likely to move because of the tight fit, but it just seems "wrong".

Only because it vibrates the top panel. Add some rubber between fan and mountings and the noise goes (near silent now)

My PSU fan is slightly blocked by Stacker casing seems ok.
