Does anyone notice, how whenever you are busy (usually with job/life) you never have any time to follow up on "the big ideas that you have" but as soon as you do, they just disappear?

I am only working half time at the moment, and when I am working I am always "coming up with idea a,b,c" but as soon as I sit down at home to go through with them, I find myself totally lost?

I am also finding it incredibly difficult to focus onto a single thing, for example, I'll start looking at MVC development for joomla, then get sidetracked onto another project, then look at scriptaculous, then something else, then reddit, then back, then some gaming... the list continues.

I sometimes feel like my brain is just picking random topics and before I even finish thinking about them, I wander onto something else... does anyone get this? How do you even *achieve* anything when you can't concentrate on one thing at a time?? Its not like I am getting bored...

My mind is exactly like this. It was a hindrance until external pressures (kids/bills etc) forced me to apply discipline to them and to see things through.

Buy a journal/book thing. Carry it with you everywhere.

Write down your ideas (as sooon as you ahve them).

When you have time open the book and read.

Decide what to do next.
