STALKER Apocalypse

WestGames have announced yet another self-proclaimed spiritual successor to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise, this time by the name of STALKER Apocalypse.

Personally, I'm starved for a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. sequel, but I won't be backing WestGames due to the previous controversy with their former project. I'll be holding out for the untitled Metro sequel, which is said to have shifted to a more sand-box-style experience.

Should make it clear that its not a S.T.A.L.K.E.R game, they're effectively ripping off the brand, theyve been stopped from doing it once already

That much is already evident, if you had read the original post properly. I certainly won't be giving them my money, anyway.

I remember getting a copy of S.T.A.L.K.E.R SoC with a Asus Rampage mobo years ago, loved it! Clear Sky was never very stable for me so didn't play that much but Call of Pripyat was good too.

Such a shame GSC is no more and there likely will never be a true sequel. The atmosphere in the S.T.A.L.K.E.R games was amazing.

I can vouch for this.

I misread the original post, saw post 2 and then re-read the OP and thought "oh, he did mention it."

(I know everyone craves tha validation that my approval conveys, so there you go!).

I'd have far more respect for them, and would probably back the project, if they were just trying to make a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. inspired game. But this just smacks of small-time fraud.
