stalker blackout

as i've previously posted, i get crappy frames in STALKER Clear Sky..

..to remedy this i tried to lower my res, i dropped from 1080p to 1280x1024, however, after doing this the system shut down and refused to post for five minutes with no signal to the monitor. i eventually got it back on by hitting DEL and going into the bios, then back into windows, nothing in the event logs and stalker's res had gone back to 1080p

any ideas?

Could be any number of things.

Over heating gpu or cpu.

Unstable over clocks, not enough voltages....

haven't overclocked the gpu and it's sitting at 45c..
overclocked the CPU but it doesn't happen in any other game.

you got all up to date drivers ? ( the Cat don't really matter as much as its a case of personal prefferance) have you treid other GPU drivers ? also is the cat AI on or off?

if yes than run the PC at stock (sorry)

if that still don't work put the PCIe bus up by 1 dunno why but that does make things better.
