stalker bleeping pda

Anyone know how to stop the PDA constantly bleeping at you ,it really spoils the game

I dont think there is a way. But dont you find it useful for spotting anomolies? (spelling?)

As shauncr91 says; it's a Geiger Counter, and is useful for not walking into anomalies and/or radioactive hotspots, it keeps you alive.

No it drives me nuts ,if your running it constantly beeps !
I'm wondering if somewhere in the sound files you can delete the file ,but can't find the stalker sound files .

Yeah but you can see the anomalies ,and you get a radioactive red warning pop up on the screen !

The bleeping is signifying enemies in the area.
The geiger counter is a sort of ticking noise.

Yup its part of the game

Also beeps when you get some new info added which you pick up along the way.

You can get sound mods to change it i think.

If your running around a populated area its constant ,which makes it pointless as your don't know why its beeping ,I just wish you could delete the noise file as its irritating as hell !
