STALKER books

I thought this would be best to ask in the games forum.

Are there any STALKER or STALKER 'type' (Scary, shooty, zombi, monster, mad professor, lonely feeling, post big disaster) books out there to read? Ive seen a few STALKER books but not in English.

Well... like Stalker. I dont really know how else to explain - Ive always read fantasy D&D type books, so i want to branch off. Since i like the atmosphere of STALKER i thought there might be books that contain that kind of setting.

Just picked up World War Z. Quite an amazing book so far.

Managed to watch the first half (of the 2h45min version) before setting off for work. Its good, i can understand why you would say some people wouldnt like it but ive seen a lot of films like this. Not sure if it would be worth buying the 2 disk DVD version for the interviews though.
