Hey hey,

I have been playing and enjoying Clear Sky for about 30 mins and would just like to ask: Is it better to play Shadows of Chernobyl before Clear Sky?

If anyone has played them both and could comment, that would be great!

Regards.

I'm also wanting to know this answer.

I own STALKER: SOC but it was awful to put it bluntly, worst hyped FPS in a long time due to the fact is was broken and patching loses saves is another retarded thing, who tought of that???

Now, years later after giving them enough "time to finish the game" I heard people saying it's actually good now so, I want to play one of them.

I guess the original is patched well into a fun, playable, relatively bug free experience, also what mods if any?

Well I installed it a few months ago and played it for a few hours total (chernobyl) and it was great, but I had to reformat my PC.

That was with the latest patch etc, and it performed well (better than Clear Sky is at the moment) so i recommend you try again :)

I just need to know which to complete first :P

Yes I think it would be better to play the first one first. Then play Clear Sky, which does look better and is apparently closer to what the devlopers wanted with the first game.

Still has its bizarre bugs that you will find either lovable or infuriating.

Brought the first game but unplayable because of random crashing with dynamic lighting on. With static lighting it looked like a pre-2002 game. Constant mem crashes, errors & patches that wiped your game. Its one of those games which either works fine and have an amazing time or its broken, crashes & spend most of your time in forums looking for solutions.

Where did you bring the game to?

Play SOC first, CS second. Close the curtains, shut the door and crank up the volume, enjoy:D

I bought SOC when it was on special offer on Steam, its one of those games you either love or hate, I hated it. It seems to me to be a cross between an FPS and a trading game a bit like Fallout 3?
