Yeah sounds like a PSU problem that, one of the signs, when it can't feed enough power to your gfx card it will just shutdown when its give all it can.

If the only way you can get it to switch back on, is to remove the kettle lead from the PSU, and then plugging it back in, then id say its deffo that.

hi all.. have a coolermaster real power 1000w. its shutdown again while playing Stalker Clear Sky about 30 min. i played crysis wars about 2 hours and no shutdown played ok. thx you

sounds to me more like computer powering down to prevent damage to itself, possibly overheating, try running GPUz in background and logging to file, then check temps when it next does it, possibly a faulty fan connector or something

sure looks like a CPU oc problem, i have a core I7 and although i can get it to 4ghz, im not totally convinced it ever was stable. Run Cinebench and see if your pc locks up, its great at finding oc issues.

Also your GPU temps are a little high. 98oc is hot.

have you tried using CCC and manually setting the fan speed above the default, they default quite low which means under load they get toasty. It may well make a bit of noise but least it wont crash (if this is the issue - 98C I think good chance thats your problem)

98 wouldn't make it shutdown, be over 100+, and i don't think it would shutdown if it was the card overeating, as when i forgot to up the fan speed of my 4850 when playing GTAIV, it just restarted when it got to hot, not shutdown, so could be the overclock, so first thing id try is all stock. :)

Youre right but at 98 it didnt shut down as he checked that after/during the game, so when it does shutdown its quite possible it exceeds 98, but I think youre right, afaik the only component which forces shutdown from heating is the CPU, GPU would cause artifacting and crashing but not actual shutdown, still its not a good scenario running at 98C after 20mins gaming

Hi, Thank's for you'r reply's, I put everything back to default in the bios settings, My processer is back to default speed, I've run stalker again and it crashed within 30 minuite's, It doesn't shut the computer down properly it completly shut's itself of, Also once it does turn itself off it won't let me switch it back on for something like twenty minuite's..!!?? confused lol Thanks for any help.

Hi, yes i removed the kettle lead, and i put it back in and the computer still wudnt start, I put the fan 100% percent and the game didnt shut down for a couple of hours but it did after bout three and a half hours.
