ok been playing stalker perfectly fine so far but i am just about to go into pripyat and i thought maybe i should join a faction, so i backtracked to the warehouse (mainly to get supplies etc.) but i thought i would maybe join them.

anyway i went and talked to their leader to dothe mission were you kill the duty camp at the farm, when i kill all the duty and the freedom soldiers run back to the base. i go to talk to Max and he says something like we will talk after we've killed the duty. so he go to run back to the base too but just runs straight to the side of the base wall and doesn't turn so i just trying to run through a wall, i assume this is a glitch and that i can't talk to him til he is back at the base or what?

this has happened a few times.

btw should i join duty or freedom or neither now?

in that sector i've had issues with a few mission not ending.. once you done the objective, save, reload and then try and talk to him.. works everytime for me.

gl :)

but once i kill all the duty and the freedom guys go back to the base it doesn't "distroy duty camp" object is complete, or is it not complete until i talk to Max?

yer that sounds like the same glitch, the stage does not show as complete so you can't claim the reward.

kill duty, save, load that save and just as you enter the game it should trigger as complete.

join either or neither, despite being hyped up as a massive rpg with everything effecting everything which faction you join or don't join really makes no difference at all. which is a shame, don't waste time on the missions for factions either, unless you really want to extend it as long as possible. frankly the side missions are pointless, a couple missions were broken aswell back when i played it, though might be working now with patches.
