Stalker or Crysis?

I really wasn't impressed by the first Crysis, so I'd be leaning more to Clear Sky, but not in its current broken state. I've reinstalled Shadows of Chernobyl and I'm going through it again with Oblivion Lost 2.2 installed. Hopefully by the time I'm done with that, Clear Sky will be remotely stable. I just love the open endedness, dark atmosphere and inventory system that it has.

I do not care much for Crysis.

I'd say Stalker, it's not as well executed but it's a more interesting concept and generally something a bit different, and the ambience of the zone is brilliant. i do like Crysis but it's a bit 2D IMO.

Crysis Warhead IS Standalone, you do not need Crysis for Warhead to run. Crysis has nice graphics and is a great FPS, but Stalker gives a nice feel with the Inventory and hours of gameplay, and many options to choose, reminds me of Deus Ex (with the inventory system and so on) If you like FPS Crazy madness Killin ... Then go for Crysis. If you prefer a game that you can complete in many different ways, with different endings, and Versatility, or just prefer RPG Shooters, go for Clear Sky.

But we all know, eventually, you will get both. :)

Clear Sky EVEN WITH the bugs. Games that are scripted and force you down a path have had their day.
Besides, looking at screenshots, the new Crysis no longer looks better than Clear Sky. It seems that their method of 'optimising' the graphics is a euphemistic term for downgrading the graphics.
Having said that, I WILL be buying Warhead when I've got nothing else to play.

I have both, much prefer warhead, I can't really seem to get into Stalker much.

Crashes and bugs haven't been helping either.

Er, why not both? They are two entirely different games. If you can't afford both, I would just buy one now and the other later on. Depends what you want really... and RGP-style FPS or a traditional action-packed FPS? I'd like to say though, from personal experience, that it is easier to sneak around / do the stealth thang in Crysis!

I modified my NPC detection in Clear Sky to eliminate their 'supernatural vision'. I can now sneak around at night with my flashlight off and they won't see me until I get up close or stand in lit areas. It's fantastic fun.

Have both games, I've completed Warhead and had a great experience throughout. Haven't touched Stalker Clear Sky since I have that love bug that crashes when I load my most recent save game. Crysis combat is far superior to Clear sky's, but both have there charms.

Warhead gets my vote, but both are worth a play. Crysis also runs smoother on Ultra high settings on my rig (no AA) than Clear Sky does, and it looks better.
