Hi everyone, had the above and COP sat in my steam account for far too long and its about time I played them, I'm sure I read about the amount of fantastic mods available for this game but which ones would you recommend?

I'm mainly looking towards good texture mods etc... as I want to keep the games story as close to original as possible.

Fire away...

Oh I will :D

I don't know what has taken me so long to play these games, at first I didn't buy them due to age vs price, then got them for a steal in a steam sale, they have just sat there since, owned them for over a year :p

Good :)

Christ I'd hate to see what this is like on 'master', on novice atm and already getting killed left right a centre :p

I'm playing a different mod atm called Misery (for Call of Pripyat). That makes master difficulty seem easy; the food requirements, stamina drain and lack of ammo is something else. In fact, I would go as far as to say it's unbalanced, so I'm having to edit some files to make it more playable. They certainly chose a good name for the mod. :D

Just keep at it, don't run head first into battle and try and be as resourceful as possible. Check out a few youtube 'playthrough' videos for pointers. :)

This is one game or series of games that actually make me really want to try eyefinity / surround.

once you get used to it and have a decent gun then master isnt toooo bad, but i would really suggest saving master difficulty for another playthrough. master difficulty really makes you think about what your doing, rather than strolling in somewhere and spraying

the complete mod is definitely the one to go for. dont make the mistake i made of playing vanilla before playing the complete mod, because its practically identical to vanilla for the gameplay (but improves everything else)

Damn you PGI I've been happily trodding through Diablo III slowly but surely but this thread has sparked my desire to grab these games again, so many games to play so little time =(

I just started this again and I am a little confused as to what the round see through blurry things are that hurt you when you get near. They tick away like bombs or something which they probs are, but they are not explained anywhere. Can they be moved somehow as they block certain doors sometimes.
