Hi

So, what are the best mods to use on this game on your first play through? I'e had a it a while now, just not got round to playing it much so I want to have a proper attempt now, considering FarCry 2 was a big let down and I can no longer be bothered playing it.

Thanks for your help.

I haven't played Far Cry 2 yet but I'd guess that if you didn't like that , you won't like Stalker.
Get Timeshift. It's a solid fps shooter with no learning curve and no rpg elements.

Gah thats not what I'm saying. I already own STALKER and have played it and I like it, I just never got round to playing it properly/completing it. I only played it for a few hours. So I want to start over and am looking for the best mods to use on the first play through.

The Float32 (I think its called that) is another mod i've heard of. I personally played Stalker vanilla and enjoyed it, going to keep track of this thread though as when i've finished with FarCry 2 I may revisit this. Didn't really feel Clear Sky was that great.

There was a thread about mods for Stalker Clear Sky not too long ago, have a search for it

Regarding Clear Sky, the Redux mod is good but makes the game very hard. No Ramboing which suits me just fine! And money, ammo, food and medkits are hard to come by.
Also, some of the Faction Wars mods are quite interesting to try. They add other control points and actually get the factions fighting constructively. The cons are that the Faction Wars (both vanilla and modded) are not yet perfected.
