where do i pickup a gun at the start of this game

If you want a half decent gun, you have to take on the 4 soldiers under the railway bridge.
Its not as hard as it sounds.

Or you go through the other way with the lightning anomoly and keep your eyes peeled for a viper 5 on the floor of the tunnel.

After you have finished with the trader, go outside into the camp and speak to Wolf, he'll give you a mission and your first weapons.

I got the 1st mission to go and kill the dudes in the camp just down the road, but i didnt get a gun

Either you've managed to do something that no-one else has, or you do have a gun, and haven't worked that out yet.

Check your inventory, he should have given you one!!!

Makes the game a little harder if he hasn't, you'll have to use your bolts!!!

I got the boars to chase me and led them to the soldiers under the bridge and just hid behind a bush while the boars attacked the soldiers, picked up a dead soldiers gun and ran off.

just installed the game this evening, got a pistol off a dead guy after about 1 min of playing :confused:

some guy is asking for a medipack he says check the other body. when you check the body it has a gun and a far amount of ammo

i couldnt work out how to give him the medikit so i shot him in the foot hoping hed die of immense pain and blood loss.

I did that but unloaded the clip into the boar, that's why I had to run

IIRC, I had a mission quite early where I was sent to assassinate a Stalker. He dropped an MP5 and I went from there.
