right, so I've just bought stalker and my initial thoughts were.. ok this isn't bad. a bit oblivionish, but with guns and mutants.

i haven't got very far at the moment. im up to the bit where i have to go through this tunnel near the train tracks and army guys, but i cant get through due to some sort of lightning. im not sure what it is yet..anyways...


does it get any better later on in the game? please say it does or i can see myself losing interest pretty sharpish. :(
 
As much as I hated that game, I mostly hated it due to bugs, crashing and generally horrid performance.

I can assure you that the game does start to look up in terms of story/action though.
 
I would say it gets better. At the start you’re running around fields and it’s all pretty boring ...later on you get to more built up areas and get some decent weapons.

As for the tunnel with the lightning, I found another way to get through by following the train tracks.
 
I just ran through (the checkpoint, not the tunnel) the first couple of times tbh. I think stalker is pretty good, need to get round to doing the second half(ish) of it at some point.
 
ok.. so the general OcUK forum view of the game is just stick at it, until it gets better?? i did blow away three nuetral guys, they were just wandering around in the woods, i nabbed an AK-74 and a MP-5 :D

will this affect me in anyway?
