No thread for this?

I remember seeing a trailer for this ages ago. Imagine my surprise when I realised that Season 1 had already been and gone. So I thought I'd give it a try, after all, it kinda looked like a fun Ash Vs Evil Dead kinda thing.

Which it is... featuring the sarcastic doctor from Scrubs.... but why then is it not very good? :(

It's missing something. It feels rushed.
I dunno. It certainly has the budget, but it makes so little sense you can't watch it as a 'serious' TV show, yet it's not funny or wacky enough to be a comedy.

Ho hum.
I guess I'll still finish off the season though !!

I saw the trailer too and thought it a kinda "Tucker and Dale vs Evil"...passed me totally too, lol. your review isn't exactly enticing me to hunt it out though.

It had it's moments but couldn't help thinking it was a poor man's Ash Vs Evil Dead.

If you like this kind of stuff, Todd and the Book of Pure Evil is another show in a similar vein (back from 2010).

I gotta admit the first season didn't grab me, so few episodes I watched them all but I really couldn't give you any details about any of it right now it left that little impression.

Maybe because in my head I saw a trailer and thought it'd be far more "Doctor Cox in an episode of Supernatural" than it turned out to be , it's kind of just there...
