Came home this evening to find that the monitor had 'dropped' to its lowest position on the stand & no amount of pulling or pushing will shift it. (i removed the stand from the monitor as well but no good).

Has anyone else had this problem, & does anyone know what the long horizontal silver button on the back of the stand is for.

Should i contact Ocerclockers or Dell & do you think they would send me a new stand without returning the monitor as well (its a A02 revision with NO dead pixels)

Thanks in advance.

The long silver button, when pressed in, allows you to adjust the monitor up and down, releasing it should lock it in position.

Not had a problem with the monitor dropping as I use it at the lowest position.

if you lower the stand as low as it can go, it will lock into place. Pressing that silver button releases the lock mechanism and should pop it back up. Keep trying that, probably just jammed

thanks for that Baddass, tried it again & it worked !!!!!!!
i didnt like to force it first time.
of course everybody in the house says they didnt touch it, must have been the cat !!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks again, its a great monitor, i use it to run Autocad, for my work (had to turn the brightness down from 50 to 20 though), now i want another one to replace my Viewsonic VP912s for TV & Games.
