Stand alone USB web cam recorders?

Is there any device that allows stand alone video recording from a generic Microsoft USB web cam? What I mean is a device NOT associated with a lap top or PC, a stand alone "black box" that allows recording AWAY from the PC? Or a means of having the camera remote, and on a Wi Fi network, so it can be used without a "wire" to the PC itself? Thanks.

Do you mean an IP camera like the Linksys WVC54GCA? I have one which I don't use, they don't seem to be going for much on the Bay, so if you fancy paying the postage, I can send it your way. It doesn't work with Macs though, hence getting rid of it.

As above, IP camera would be your best bet.
