Stand-alone video player software

Does anyone know of anyvideo player software I could include on a cd along with a few videos that would be able to run direct form the cd with no installation etc?

Basically I have to put some video clips onto a CD to go out to several different shops for them to view. However, the PCs in those shops are rather mixed and not very good, so ideally I need something on the CD that will be able to play the video clips without anything having to be installed.

Any help would be much appreciated.

BTW the videos are in wmv format created in Windows Movie Maker.

convert the videos to flash with built-in player.

hmmm, that's not a bad idea but ideally if there was something more simple like a video player that will run from a cd that would be better as I'm really pushed for time.

Media Player classic if it'll play the files you want to put on the CD, and especially if the videos are high-def and it may be running on a fairly low-spec computer, because it'll handle multicores.
VLC for compatibility and general awesomeness.

ANother quick question, is there anyway I can do anything like creat shortcuts to the vid clips and edit the shortcuts so the vids open with the player on the cd?

This would help a lot cos the people that are going to be viewing these clips aren't exactly very computer literate, so If I can make it so they simply have to clip the clips and the software on the cd plays it?

Surely all the pc's will have windows media player installed already? - perfect for wmv's it's designed for them.
You can create and export a playlist from windows mediaplayer in seconds. - a user just needs to double click the playlist and away they go.

I cant see it going wrong unless you've used some odd codec. - the playlist files are easily editable in notepad, and you can manually fiddle with anything too.

I'd have thought the pcs will have media player on them but some of them are really quite old and I want to be sure there is a player that can handle the video for certain.

Fortunately I have had to put all the files into one big long vid so that should make everything easier as they've only got one file to try to play!
